Group Yoga
Welcome to our Yoga Group at New Hope Counseling Group! We are delighted to offer you a nurturing and transformative experience through the practice of yoga within a therapeutic setting. This group is designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being while fostering a sense of community and support among participants.

Additionally, the supportive group dynamic allows for the exchange of experiences, insights, and encouragement, fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness. ​​​​​ These sessions are ideal if you are looking to incorporate yoga and meditation into your mental health support or self-care plan. We will engage in gentle asana (yoga poses), guided meditation, and group reflection related to mental health and wellness. The yoga group will provide physical, mental, and emotional well-being while fostering a sense of community support on your mental wellness journey.

Private Yoga Sessions (Ages 18+)
Personalized yoga can be a wonderful addition to your therapy sessions by helping you integrate your mind and body in a safe and supportive environment. After completing a consultation, your yoga teacher will craft a yoga session that complements your specific mental, physical, and emotional experience.
Sessions include:

Guided meditation, along with a tailored take-home practice.

About your yoga Instructors
Shani Banks, LCPC, Certified Yoga Teacher, Certified Meditation Teacher
Virtual Sessions only
Shani Banks is a therapist, certified meditation teacher, and certified yoga teacher. She provides trauma-informed yoga that makes space for individuals of various backgrounds to benefit from the practice and strive for mental wellness. Shani is trained in teaching hatha yoga and is a student of ashtanga yoga.
Shani has led classes for kids, beginner yogis, trained yogis, and seniors. Shani’s approach to yoga includes respect for the roots, philosophy, and sanctity of the yogic tradition. As a meditation teacher, Shani is inspired by mindfulness practice to achieve greater awareness, cultivate gratitude and happiness.
Her background as a therapist further allows her to incorporate relevant, and accessible mental health and wellness tips into her yoga and meditation sessions.
Anagha Srikanth,LGPC, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200)

Anagha is a therapist and registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) who provides trauma-informed yoga instruction for those seeking to develop a strong foundation in the practice of yoga. Whether you are new to yoga or a long-time yogi, they can help you build a personal practice that is accessible and sustainable.

Anagha built her foundations at Bhakti Yoga Studio in Washington, DC, where they trained in teaching vinyasa yoga, or flow yoga, and developed a deeper understanding of anatomy as well as the cultural principles of this ancient tradition. Her personal background as an Indian American informs her approach to yoga and her yoga practice informs her approach to therapy
Cynthia Wang - LPC Certified Yoga Teacher, Certified Meditation Teacher

Cynthia is a therapist, certified meditation teacher, and certified yoga teacher. She’s inspired by her teachers in Taiwan and is trained in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Cynthia is keen on creating a space for mindful living on and off the mat and has trained in breathwork, alignment, meditation and mindfulness, and trauma-sensitive yoga principles.
In a yoga or meditation session, Cynthia combines gentle movements and breath awareness with mindful cues and provides various options for going deeper (or not). As a woman of color, she brings her cultural sensitivity into a yoga practice and invites all to join and create their own throughout their healing journey. Cynthia can provide virtual yoga and meditation sessions in both English and Mandarin.
