About Yoga

Welcome to our Yoga Group at New Hope Counseling Group! We are delighted to offer you a nurturing and transformative experience through the practice of yoga within a therapeutic setting. This group is designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being while fostering a sense of community and support among participants.

The benefits of participating in our Yoga Group extend beyond the physical realm. Regular practice can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, enhance body awareness, increase focus, and promote overall relaxation. 60 min Virtual Yoga Groups (Adults 18+)  - Weekly

You will need: Room to practice and move freely, yoga mat, yoga blocks and strap (a stack of books and a towel also work!)

Shani Banks, LGPC, Certified Yoga Teacher, Certified Meditation Teacher

Meet Shani Banks, a passionate advocate for holistic well-being, mental health, and self-care. As a Black mental health counselor, certified yoga teacher, and certified meditation teacher, Shani is dedicated to empowering individuals to discover their inner strength, cultivate mindfulness, and create balance in their lives.

 

Combining her expertise in mental health counseling with the transformative practices of yoga and meditation, Shani offers a comprehensive and holistic approach to well-being. Shani guides participants through mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation techniques to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance self-awareness.
