Internship Opportunites
At New Hope, we recognize the value of internships, as well as the challenges that this can bring when you are taking classes, working, and managing other life stressors. This is why we believe in and have competitive, paid clinical internships, which are open to masters level students in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, and Social Work programs. Our intern employees are expected to sign on for the equivalent of a full academic year (two semesters). At New Hope, you have the opportunity to engage in and provide counseling for individuals, families, couples, and/or groups, depending on your interests and/or program requirements. On average, our interns complete about 15-20 hours per week (clinical and non-clinical), depending on their individual program requirements. While here, at least half of your time is spent in sessions and direct contact with clients and the remaining is on clinically relevant administrative, supervision, or learning experiences. Our internship requirements meet the standards of CACREP and MPCAC counseling programs and CSWE accredited masters in social work programs.
