Hajira Baig, Student Therapist
About Me
Hi, my name is Hajira Baig, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern currently completing my graduate training. Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when stress, emotions, or life transitions become unmanageable. Therapy can offer a supportive and compassionate space to slow down, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to support each client’s unique needs and goals.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, and I am especially interested in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation, and interpersonal challenges. I am mindful of how culture, family systems, and personal values shape mental health and strive to provide culturally responsive and empowering care.
I am fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi. As a counselor-in-training, I am committed to ethical practice, ongoing learning, and regular clinical supervision. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I would be honoured to support you on your journey towards healing and growth.
Hajira is practicing under the supervision of Jessica Rice and can see clients located in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
