Bridget Sorensen, Student Therapist

About Me

Bridget is currently accepting new clients

I am currently a third-year master’s student at the George Washington University in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I did my undergraduate studies at University of Utah where I majored in both Psychology and Sociology. Before coming to DC to attend GW, I worked at a residential treatment center for teenage girls. This experience magnified my passion for therapy and solidified my belief that everyone deserves peace and well-being in this life.

I strive to provide a safe place where you will feel accepted and empowered. I value the emphasis of self-awareness and mindfulness, and I utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques to address my clients’ needs. Through my training, I have learned to look at each person through a multicultural, trauma-informed, and holistic lens. I am committed to continuous learning and approach the therapeutic process with curiosity and openness.

I welcome clients of all ages and demographics. I have experience working with presenting concerns including life transitions, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Therapy with me will be a collaborative process that we tailor to fit your specific needs and goals. We are both individuals with unique stories and strengths that will contribute to the success of your therapeutic journey. Through working with me, I hope we can provide you relief from life’s challenges and nurture your natural strengths and resilience.
