About Me
Hi, I am Mari. I am a graduate-level counseling professional, with experience providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations, including Latin American and American clients navigating substance use disorders, anger management, trauma, family conflict, and legal-related issues.
I am from Colombia, where I did my bachelor’s in Psychology and worked for two years at a prison.
My professional interests include multicultural counseling, addiction and recovery, trauma-informed care, family systems, identity development, and social justice in mental health services. I am also passionate about research and education.
I approach my clients with compassion and non-judgement, making the environment feel as warm and safe as possible to empower my clients and make them feel heard, respected, and supported.
I truly love what I do, and truly believe that change and a better life are possible. I am here to support you!
Mariana is supervised by Jessica Rice.
