Grishma Patel, Student Therapist

About Me

Do you feel lost or overwhelmed with life? Are there days where anxiety is running the show and you’re taking the back seat? Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I am so excited that you’ve taken the first step towards reclaiming your headspace! My approach to therapy is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and individualized. I will work with you to implement tailored approaches that fit your needs and goals, while providing you with a trauma-informed space where you can deepen your self-understanding and find sustainable ways to heal and grow.

I support individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, significant life transitions, and interpersonal issues. I am particularly passionate about supporting the mental health of women, high-achieving adults, and first-generation children of immigrants. I draw from person-centered, psychodynamic, mindfulness and CBT approaches, where your needs are at the center. Together, we’ll work to uncover the patterns, beliefs, and external influences that have been holding you back and help you develop the confidence and insight you need to move forward.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent over a decade in corporate America, where I experienced the toll of anxiety, depression, systemic biases, burnout and disconnection from my authentic self. Additionally, as a first-generation daughter of immigrant parents, I also understand the complex guilt and pressure that comes with balancing your identity, authenticity, and values with community expectations. My own journey of healing has ignited my passion for this work, and I would be honored to support you through your current journey so you can come out the other side resilient and balanced.
