About Me
As a therapist, I believe that each person has unique strengths, experiences, and abilities that can help them navigate life’s challenges. My role is to provide a supportive, safe, and constructive space where you can feel heard, gain insight, and move toward the life you want to create.
My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming. I meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work collaboratively to understand both what you need and what is already working in your life. I strive to make therapy feel like something we do together. We’ll explore your inner world as well as the relationships, environments, and circumstances that influence your experiences, while building practical coping skills and strategies along the way.
I'm currently an MSW candidate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and I provide therapy throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. under the supervision of Luis Bernal, LCSW-C. I work with adults, adolescents, and families, and I especially enjoy supporting people navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, or times when they feel overwhelmed or stuck.
My path to social work began while working in the environmental field, where I learned to look at the bigger picture and understand how systems, relationships, and surroundings can shape well-being. That perspective continues to inform my work as a therapist. I value creating space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while also considering the broader circumstances that influence your life. By looking at both the internal and external factors affecting your well-being, I offer a holistic approach to mental health and personal growth.
Life changes can be difficult to navigate, but just as nature adapts and finds ways to grow, we too have the capacity for resilience, change, and renewal. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover the strengths and resources that can help you move forward.
My hope is that you leave each therapy session feeling more confident, more connected to yourself, and empowered to build the life you want. I'd love to connect for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
