About Me

Xinyu is accepting new clients on a WAITLIST only

Are you seeking a safe and understanding space to navigate life's challenges and embrace your unique journey? As an Asian international worker, I understand the intricacies of cultural nuances and the courage it takes to seek support. Welcome to a warm, non-judgmental, and empowering journey where healing begins and self-discovery flourishes.

Being an Asian woman and international student/worker, I bring a unique perspective to my counseling practice. I have experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs of navigating multiple cultures, identities, and societal expectations. This background gave me profound insight into the diverse struggles faced by my underrepresented clients and fosters a deep sense of connection and understanding.

I believe that the primary causes of many mental health issues largely stem from our societies, and the way we live in it. As a counselor, I am not only dedicated to empowering individuals but also advocates for clients impacted by the intersections of capitalism and patriarchy. I understand the far-reaching effects these systems can have on mental well-being, and my approaches delve deep into understanding the context in which my clients' responses emerge. By examining your responses through the lens of your unique environments, I will empower you to embrace your authentic selves and create meaningful change.

I also have a dedication to providing trauma-informed care to my clients. If you've ever struggled to put your traumatic experience into words during discussions, rest assured that it's completely normal. In my practice, I provide a specialized therapy called Brainspotting, which doesn't rely heavily on verbal expression. Some individuals may feel uncomfortable sharing details about their traumas due to feelings of shame or embarrassment. Others may need a safe space to open up and be listened to. No matter your preferences, I am here to offer my support. Remember, the healing journey can be challenging, and we will proceed at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Regardless of where you are on your journey, I welcome you with open arms and an open heart. I am committed to providing a safe space for you to heal, grow, and find your voice in a world that sometimes feels overwhelming. Take that courageous step today and embark on a path of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment.
