About Me

Dionna is currently accepting new clients

Hello!

I am so glad you are here. A range of issues could have brought you to this page.  Life can be difficult. Many of us carry hurts internally that we do not speak about, yet those places of pain influence how we feel about ourselves and show up in the world. I believe the therapeutic process is a collaboration where you are in the driver’s seat.  Through our work together, you can sift through your experience to release patterns, and beliefs that no longer serve you today.  It truly is possible to experience joy and you deserve to live a fulfilling life.

I hold my B.A. in Social Work from the University of Iowa and will graduate with my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Howard University this December 2023. I work to create a safe non-judgmental space where you can show up to be fully seen, respected, and valued.  I practice with a lens that acknowledges how oppressive systems can impact emotional well-being. I have a passion for including creative outlets for expression during sessions, including music and meditation, and I draw from many approaches including mindfulness practices, somatic practices, and psychoanalytic theories. I am available to work with anyone and have a special interest in issues pertaining to human sexuality, supporting survivors of sexual violence, and those who are grieving.
